Meet The Owner

Are your participating in your martial arts discipline as frequent as you would like? Good Vibes Physical Therapy & Fitness was established to get grapplers and mixed martial artists back to the mats participating in the activities they love.

Hi my name is Michael Mitri and I have been practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since August 2015.  Over that time frame I noticed a lot of my training partners were getting sidelined due to injury, deconditioning, and lack of addressing nagging issues early on. Martial arts are very taxing on the body and I have personally made it my mission to help you get back to your respective discipline. As time and volume increases spent participating in martial arts, the realization that injuries will occur becomes a reality.  I have been fortunate enough to use my own body as a test subject to help optimize your future return!  Over the years I have suffered a fractured elbow, ankle and ribs.  I separated my shoulder, gotten numerous tendonitis injuries, contusions, joint sprains/ligament tears, and muscle strains.  I got tired of hearing from other medical professionals that the meniscus tears and achilles bone spur, confirmed via imaging, were going to hold me back and force me to take extensive time off. I can personally say I actively participate and train 4-8x a week and it is possible to return to sport without limitation with reduced time off. Let me help you get back to the training volume you desire and work on putting in place the systems to mitigate risk for injury in the future.

I am a Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist who geeks out to continually learn how to optimize the body and improve performance.
